RYA Day Skipper Fastrack Combined Course Gain your RYA Day Skipper Theory shorebased and Practical certificates with only 1 week off work! Course Dates Starting on the Saturday morning learning the shorebased theory course for four days at our Gibraltar base. On Tuesday evening join our training yacht to put this theory into practice whilst completing the five day RYA Day Skipper practical course until Sunday afternoon. Theory Based in the classroom, this shorebased course takes you from the basics of navigation including: tidal calculations, chart reading & navigation, collision regulations, meteorology and electronic navigational aids. Practical Under the guidance of an RYA instructor you will be introduced to all aspects of skippering a yacht including; sail trim, stern-to mooring, pilotage, passage planning, anchoring and safety onboard. Upon successful completion of this combined course you will be awarded both RYA Day Skipper Theory and Practical (tidal) certificates.
